Maintenance Assistant/public Area Cleaner (Surfers Paradise)

Positioned between the centre of Surfers Paradise and the stylish suburb of Broadbeach, Mantra Wings offers a selection of spacious one and two bedroom apartments a short walk from the light rail. In your free time, you will be spoilt for choice with the beachfront, the excitement of Surfers Paradise, or the more relaxed and sophisticated dining and entertainment options of Broadbeach all within walking distance.

Purpose As a Maintenance Assistant/ Public Area Cleaner, you are an important part of our housekeeping crew and you are the master of all trades. This is a duplicate role, making sure our shared spaces are super clean and well maintained. Repair, paint job or improvement challenges may arise and paying attention to all the small details will be part of your routine. You will be comfortable working alone or with your team, and you will love chatting with residents, assisting them with any questions or needs they might have.

Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure the property always looks its best, inside and out
- Embrace the cleaning challenge, sprucing up both indoor and outdoor public areas (including pool, gym and shared bathrooms) to meet our high cleanliness and presentation standards
- Expertly handle specialised equipment and chemicals with safety in mind
- Take charge of ensuring that all amenities and communal spaces within the property are well-maintained and in excellent condition
- Collaborate with a diverse team, requiring both a cooperative mindset and the ability to work independently

Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role (as a cleaner/room attendant/public areas attendant/maintenance assistant) is a plus
- Comfortable in a physical role, have a get-up-and-go attitude and be someone who won’t stop until the job is completed in a safe and presentable manner
- Your communication style is warm and welcoming, making both residents and team members feel at ease
- You have an eye for detail and work efficiently, managing your time well and taking pride in your tasks
- Adaptability and physical fitness to work in both internal and external environments, including staircases and uncovered areas
- You enjoy collaborating with colleagues from various backgrounds
- Capable of embracing a flexible rotating schedule, including weekends and public holidays as required
