I Look Optique is a small independent optometry practice on the Isle of Capri, Surfers Paradise, a few steps from Harris Farm. Our frame collection is mostly independent brands from around the world, chosen for the quality of the product and the story behind it. We run a considered clinic, not a volume clinic, taking the time so we can uphold the highest standards in patient care.

The role

We need a full time optical dispenser, or sales associated with opportunity to train in optical dispensing. You will be the first person a patient sees and the person they deal with from booking to pick-up. The work is a mix of front-of-house (appointments, phone, health fund claiming), optical dispensing, and supporting the optometrist with pre-testing and imaging. There is also room to contribute to frame buying, merchandising, and the way the practice runs day to day.

Hours

Full time. The position is for 4 weekdays plus Saturday. No late nights

What we are looking for

The fit matters more than the paperwork. These are the things we care about: Warm and present with patients. Proactive. You see what needs doing and do it. Accurate. Details oriented, especially optical measurements, claims, and follow-through. Interested in beautiful eyewear and willing to learn the product in depth.

Optical dispensing experience or Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing is a plus but not required. We will invest in your training for the right candidate.

For candidates without optical dispensing experience, a minimum of one year of premium retail experience required.

Australian citizenship is required for this position.
