Operations Manager – Nobby’s Beach Surf Life Saving Club Nobby’s Beach Surf Life Saving Club is seeking a proactive and hands‑on Operations Manager to lead club operations and help shape the future of our growing organisation. Located between Mermaid Beach and Miami, our club has proudly served the community since 1954. As we enter an exciting phase of growth and facility redevelopment, this role offers a unique opportunity to drive strategy, strengthen operations, and enhance community engagement. The role is for the Surf Life Saving Club side of Nobbys Beach, involving: Lifesaving Operations, Nippers, Fundraising and Surf Sports. About the Role Reporting to the Club President, you will oversee daily operations, support strategic planning, and act as the key link between the Board, members, and stakeholders. You’ll play a critical role in improving efficiency, growing membership, increasing sponsorship, and ensuring a safe and compliant workplace. This role will oversee and support 552 total members from across all sectors of our club. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day‑to‑day club operations and resources
- Drive membership growth and retention
- Support the Board and key club officers
- Develop sponsorships and community partnerships
- Oversee facilities, risk, and compliance as Chief Safety Officer
- Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting About You
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- Experience in operations, sports, or volunteer‑based organisations (desirable)
- Passion for community and alignment with club values
- Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
- Part‑time (30 hours/week, potential to increase)
- Based at Mermaid Beach, QLD
