**LEADING HAND BOILERMAKER**
**About the role**
Kings Engineering has an exciting chance in its team for a Leading Hand Boilermaker, with experience in maintaining heavy earthmoving equipment. This role will be based at our Ashtonfield Workshop however will be required to work from other sites at times.
The successful person will provide effective supervision and leadership to ensure the achievement of safety and production targets by providing a high quality and timely maintenance service to a wide spectrum of engineering services including Mining, Transport, Construction, Rail, and Manufacturing industries.
This is a full-time permanent position paying $46.38 per hour, ($91,646 per year plus super) with excellent flexible work options available.
**_Key Responsibilities_**
- Provide safe, effective, and efficient fabrication services to customers
- Meet required targets with safety as the priority
- Perform quality inspections of machinery and document as per legislative and operational requirements
- Communicate and organise with customers and our workshop regarding labour requirements, and current & upcoming work as required
- Appropriately allocate activity to team to continuously achieve targets with safety as the priority as required
- Make sure quality work scopes are defined and followed to meet customer expectations
- Manage the procurement expectations for jobs, current and future planning to be able to meet customer demands in a timely manner and on budget
- Communicating to production and engineering employees on project, maintenance and breakdown issues and problems and working as a team to develop an appropriate course of action
- Assist in the development of quotes, reports and the verification of dossiers
- Provide technical advice to tradesmen as required
- Attend and participate in meetings with other departments in projects and planning activities as directed.
- Conduct toolbox talks and pre-start meetings with employees
**Essential Criteria**
- 5+ years supervisory experience
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
- Fabrication trade qualifications in addition to extensive experience within a heavy industrial or mining related environment
- High level computer proficiency
- Experience in maintaining heavy earthmoving and mining related equipment
- Ability to effectively communicate within and between work teams, demonstrating positive interpersonal skills
- Current valid NSW Driver's Licence

- Working knowledge of the pulse software system
- MDG25 Guideline for safe cutting and welding at mines
- Forklift
- Dogging
- Working at heights
- EWP
