The Purchasing Officer is responsible for the efficient placement of cost-effective purchase orders for Cabrini Health. This role requires a candidate who will provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders and ensure a direct line of communication with service managers and vendors is maintained. Please Note: This is an on-site role, 5-days a week.Your Key Responsibilities:Managing purchase orders from creation to closure, with a discrete category of spend.Ensuring timely supply of fit-for-purpose, cost-effective goods and services.Coordinating receipt, packing, and delivery of goods across the site.Monitoring order activity, resolving delivery issues, and liaising with suppliers.Investigating and reconciling invoice discrepancies, returns, credits, and outstanding ordersReconciling invoices and managing discrepancies, returns, and credits.Supporting stocktakes and preparing reports as required.What we’re looking forAt least 1-3 years’ relevant purchasing experience (healthcare/hospital setting highly regarded).Robust skills in purchasing systems (JD Edwards e-Procurement advantageous)Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Proven negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills with ability to finalise negotiations within tight deadlinesAbility to prioritise competing demands and work both independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and ethical approach.Why join Cabrini:Attractive salary + 13% superannuation + 17.5% annual leave loadingTax savings
