Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Land Surveyor to join our clients team on a major earthworks project located just south of Mandurah. This is a long-term opportunity on a fast-paced, large-scale earthworks project expected to run for approximately two years. This role will suit someone who thrives in a dynamic site environment and enjoys being involved across all aspects of survey delivery—from fieldwork through to data processing and reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Provide survey support to the client and contractors on site
- Prepare and manage set‑out data using standard CAD software, followed by field set‑out
- Conduct as‑constructed surveys (pickups), data downloads, and CAD updates
- Perform area (m²) and volume (m³) calculations
- Carry out prism and GPS monitoring
- Undertake drone surveys (primarily photogrammetry, with some LiDAR work)
- Work with machine control systems (Trimble, Topcon)
- Assist with basic design work including earthworks, drainage, sections, and volumes
- Prepare end‑of‑month reporting About You
- Proven experience in a similar surveying role, ideally on civil or earthworks projects
- Strong proficiency with survey software and CAD platforms
- Experience with GPS, total stations, and monitoring systems
- Familiarity with drone surveying (photogrammetry and/or LiDAR)
- Exposure to machine control systems (Trimble and/or Topcon preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage data accurately
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced site environment and adapt to changing priorities What We Offer
