Our City Works Road Construction team is looking for a self-motivated, hardworking and experienced individual to fill the position of Loader Operator. The role involves undertaking construction and maintenance of the City’s roads, drainage and shared paths infrastructure in a secure, efficient and cost-effective manner and to agreed quality standards.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Experience in road, drainage and shared path construction
- Practical experience with the safe operation of road construction equipment
- Current unrestricted HR-B (Heavy Rigid) class national driver’s licence (as a minimum)
- Loader Operator’s Accreditation Certificate
- Current Construction White Card
- Roller Operator’s Accreditation Certificate
- Excellent observation and concentration skills
- Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to read and accurately interpret plans, operating procedures and safety instructions
- Be a team player

**The finer details**

This permanent full-time Level 3 position attracts a salary range of $72,795 to $75,503 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to participate in a full pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing.
