We’re seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a busy compost production site located near Mandurah. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems on the fly, and keeping critical machinery running in a rapid‑paced setting.

About the Role

Working as the sole fitter on site, you’ll be responsible for the day‑to‑day mechanical maintenance of specialised composting equipment. You’ll work closely with the site supervisor and receive support from the broader Engineering & Reliability team.

Your day will include:

Preventative and reactive maintenance

Fault‑finding and breakdown response

Keeping machinery operational – issues can’t be left unattended

Working on equipment such as spiders, pinnels, and material‑handling systems

Occasional support at the nearby farm for major projects

This is a Monday–Friday role, starting between 5:00–6:00 a.m., working an 8‑hour day with overtime available.

What You’ll Need

Trade‑qualified Mechanical Fitter

5+ years’ experience in maintenance roles

Ability to work independently as the sole fitter

Solid fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills

Comfortable working in an outdoor workplace with strong odours – composting facility.

Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
