Project Surveyor (Mandurah)

Full Job Description We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Surveyor to join our team on a major civil engineering project located just south of Waroona. This is a long‑term opportunity on a rapid‑paced, large‑scale earthworks project expected to run for approximately two years. This role will suit someone who thrives in a dynamic site environment and enjoys being involved across all aspects of survey delivery—from fieldwork through to data processing and reporting. About the Role Working closely with the client and site contractors, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of this significant project. Site hours will vary between $50
- $60 hours per week depending on project demands, with occasional half‑day Saturdays required during peak periods. Key Responsibilities
- Provide survey support to the client and contractors on site
- Prepare and manage set‑out data using standard CAD software, followed by field set‑out
- Conduct as‑constructed surveys (pickups), data downloads, and CAD updates
- Perform area (m2) and volume (m3) calculations
- Carry out prism and GPS monitoring
- Undertake drone surveys (primarily photogrammetry, with some LiDAR work)
- Work with machine control systems (Trimble, Topcon)
- Assist with basic design work including earthworks, drainage, sections, and volumes
- Prepare end‑of‑month reporting About You Proven experience in a similar surveying role, ideally on civil or earthworks projects; strong proficiency with survey software and CAD platforms; experience with GPS, total stations, and monitoring systems; familiarity with drone surveying (photogrammetry and/or LiDAR); exposure to machine control systems (Trimble and/or Topcon preferred); strong attention to detail and ability to manage data accurately; ability to work in a quick‑paced site environment and adapt to changing priorities.
