This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning their career in IT or educational technology who enjoys problem-solving, working with people, and being involved in the day-to-day life of a busy school community. About the Role The Junior IT / Tech Support Officer will work closely with the College IT Department to support the effective operation of technology. A key aspect of the role involves assisting with the setup and operation of sound, audio, and presentation technology for College events such as assemblies, performances, staff meetings, and special events. The Junior IT / Tech Support Officer will also assist with the day-to-day operation of the College’s technology systems, including supporting staff and students with technical issues, maintaining devices and classroom technology, and helping ensure the smooth and reliable functioning of IT systems across the College. The successful applicant will be hands-on, reliable, service-oriented, and willing to learn in a fast-paced workplace. About You The ideal applicant will demonstrate: A genuine interest in IT, technology, and audio/visual systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliability, initiative, and a willingness to learn The ability to remain calm and organised during events Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Basic knowledge of computers, devices, and troubleshooting processes Previous experience with sound, audio, or event technology is desirable but not essential Qualifications & Experience Experience in a school setting (desirable but not essential) Relevant IT studies, certifications, or current training are desirable A current Working With Children Check, First Aid Certificate, National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain one) At Foundation Christian College, we are committed to our core values ofLIFERS – Leadership, Integrity, Faith, Excellence, Respect, and Service .
