- Lead by example, mentoring and inspiring the team daily.
- Support the Store Manager in coaching staff to achieve and develop their knowledge and skills.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience consistently.
- Cultivate a strong safety mindset and enforce safety, health and wellbeing practices.
- Assist in managing stock accuracy and ensure adherence to stock integrity processes.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards for all product displays.
- Keep knowledge of pet care, products and services up to date.
- Recruit, onboard and induct high‑calibre current team members.
- Create a fun, supportive in‑store culture that encourages team satisfaction.
- Proactively support local marketing opportunities and sponsorships. Qualifications
- Experience in a store leadership role or strong desire to progress to retail management.
- Demonstrated drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Strong leadership ability to motivate and build high‑performing teams while fostering a positive culture.
- Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities to complete tasks on time.
- Proven commitment to safe Work, Health & Safety practices.
- Established business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing work environments.
