**Join our Intensive Care Team as an Administration Assistant!**

**As the Ward Administration Assistant, you will be responsible for the provision of administrative, clerical and reception services. In this role, you will be required to work in close proximity to patients and should have a working knowledge of hospital operations and activities. The successful applicant will be able to work autonomously, with mínimal supervision.**

Flinders Medical Centre Intensive and Critical Care Unit (ICCU) is a 32-bed tertiary intensive care unit (ICU) located in the inner southern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia.

**About the Role**: Reporting to the Administration Team Leader and Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), this role supports effective administrative, clerical and reception services in Ward
- Intensive Care Unit. Duties for the role will include:
- Ensuring that requests of the patient's family re visitors are adhered to,-
- Answering all incoming telephone calls and dealing with routine patient enquiries
- using judgement in conveying appropriate information,- Liaising with other departments (eg to Radiology, laboratories, other medical staff) as requested by the NUM,
- Contributing ideas to improve administration processes and clerical services.

**About you**:

- Providing qualified, quality and responsive customer service,
- Possess flexibility and adaptability to cope with changing work requirements,
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and work with mínimal supervision,
- Demonstrated sound time management skills,
- Experience in the provision of a confidential secretarial, administrative and clerical service.
