**About the role**: We are seeking a dedicated Sales Assistant with a passion for interior design and a keen eye for detail to specialise in our range of rugs, carpet, flooring, and homewares. This full-time position offers you the opportunity to work in an environment where your expertise will help customers turn their homes and spaces into something special.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Service**: Provide personalised assistance to customers by understanding their needs and recommending suitable products from our extensive range of rugs, carpets, flooring, and homewares.
- **Product Knowledge**: Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings to answer customer inquiries, provide expert advice, and highlight the features and benefits of each item.
- **Sales**: Achieve sales targets by actively engaging with customers, upselling complementary products, and following up on leads.
- **Visual Merchandising**: Ensure that the showroom is well-organised and visually appealing, with displays that showcase our products effectively.
- **Customer Follow-Up**: Handle customer inquiries, process orders, and follow up to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a retail sales role, preferably with a focus on homewares, rugs, carpets, or flooring.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Passion for interior design and home decor, with a good eye for detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and sales software.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn about new products and industry trends.
