Our client is a construction head contractor and as a result of continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their team to work on a $200m+ high‑rise residential project amongst others.

The candidate will ideally have some experience working on head contractor side on 20+ storey high rise residential projects in the Gold Coast / Brisbane / Sunshine Coast market with local knowledge. They will also look at candidates without local experience too ideally looking with high rise residential experience.

As Site Manager , you will be responsible for the daily delivery of high quality and on‑time construction projects, ensuring that the projects are completed to documented drawings, specifications and nominated timeframes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions with all onsite staff / subcontractors

Review and manage key project issues

Liaise with statutory bodies ensuring all relevant notifications are made

Ensure site compound and amenities are established and maintained

Organise all site inspections with clients, authorities and consultants

Assist Project Manager with preparing scopes of work

Understand head and subcontractor contracts, especially in relation to timeframes

Produce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to finishing works

Qualifications and Requirements:

Trade or building related qualification

5 to 15+ years’ experience in site supervision of construction projects including planning, programming and management of onsite staff / subcontractors

Construction Safety Induction (White) card

Senior First Aid Certificate

Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards relating to building sites

Proven ability to lead and motivate subcontractors

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
