About The Position Totally Smiles Townsville is a cosy, family-oriented 3-chair practice offering general and cosmetic dentistry. We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant on a full-time basis, including 1 in 4 Saturdays. This is an opportunity to join a friendly, supportive, and long-standing team, focused on delivering exceptional customer service and patient care to everyone who walks through the door. As a Dental Assistant, you will report to the Practice Manager and work closely with the dental team, with exposure to ongoing learning opportunities to further develop your professional skills. Key Responsibilities Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort. Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area. Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised. Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care. Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
