Position Details We’re looking for a committed and enthusiastic Groundskeeper to join our newly built Palm Lake Resort Pelican Waters team and help keep our resort grounds in pristine condition. This is a Full Time role, working 38 hours per week on a Monday to Friday roster in a hands‑on capacity to maintain our gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas, ensuring they are safe, clean, and visually appealing. Your work will be essential to ensuring the resort grounds are presented to a high standard for our residents and visitors year‑round. Responsibilities
- Hedge & tree trimming
- Mowing, edging & whipper snipping
- Control weeds and pests through the application of herbicides
- Raking and blowing leaves, pruning and disposing of dying vegetation
- Planting, mulching, and maintaining flowers and shrubs, including watering and maintenance of irrigation systems
- Oversee the outdoor presentation of all facilities, including BBQ & pool maintenance
- Ensure all mechanical equipment and tools are kept in good working order What We’re Looking For
- A "C" class driver’s licence
- Relevant gardening experience in a similar role
- Qualification in Cert III Horticulture or equivalent is advantageous
- ACDC chemical licence is advantageous
- Ability to use equipment such as push mower, ride‑on mower, hedge trimmer, whipper snipper and blower
- Possess the physical ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, lifting and carrying
