**Part-Time Bookkeeper (Xero Experienced)

**About the Role**: Bright Light Bookkeeping is seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and enthusiastic **bookkeeper** to join our growing team. This is a **remote, part-time** role (5-10 hours per week), ideal for someone currently working toward their **BAS agent registration** and looking to gain **supervised hours** in a supportive workplace.

**Please note: This position is**_**not**_ **suitable for individuals who already hold a BAS Agent registration.**

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Working with small business clients across a variety of industries
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping using **Xero** (including bank reconciliations, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and BAS prep)
- Attending regular virtual team meetings for collaboration and support
- Ensuring compliance with current ATO regulations and bookkeeping standards

**Who You Are**:

- Experienced in bookkeeping (at least 1-2 years preferred)
- Proficient in **Xero** and confident navigating its features
- Currently studying toward, or recently completed, a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting
- Looking to obtain your supervised hours for **BAS agent registration**:

- Organised, self-motivated, and values clear communication and teamwork
