Senior Project Engineer (Sunshine Coast Regional)

We are currently partnering with a leading civil contractor to appoint a Senior Project Engineer to join their growing delivery team on the Sunshine Coast. This is a key site-based role supporting the successful delivery of major civil infrastructure projects across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to step into a high-impact role with strong autonomy, career progression, and exposure to complex, multi-disciplinary civil works. The Opportunity You will play a critical role in the delivery of civil infrastructure projects from planning through to completion, working closely with Project Managers, Supervisors, and client representatives to ensure safe, on-time, and high-quality outcomes. Projects will typically include bulk earthworks, roads, drainage, utilities, and general civil construction works across a major program of works. Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day engineering functions across live civil construction projects
- Coordinate design, construction methodology, and temporary works support
- Manage QA systems, ITPs, subcontractor compliance, and project documentation
- Support planning, programming, and cost tracking activities
- Assist with procurement, subcontractor coordination, and material scheduling
- Drive HSE compliance across all site activities
- Liaise with internal teams, consultants, and client stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance to site engineers and junior staff
- Contribute to project reporting, forecasting, and risk management About You
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5+ years’ experience in civil infrastructure or construction delivery
- Strong understanding of site-based engineering and project execution
- Experience across roads, earthworks, drainage or utilities highly regarded
- Confident managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work fronts
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced site environment What’s on Offer
