We're excited to welcome a Social Worker to our highly functioning and diligent Social Work team at Nambour General Hospital!

As a crucial part of our multidisciplinary team, social workers play a vital role in providing holistic care to patients and their families by addressing the social, emotional, and practical factors that impact health and recovery. You'll work within the agile environment of the acute hospital setting, providing essential support to those in their greatest time of need.

Key Responsibilities include:

Demonstrate competent knowledge, expertise and skill in the provision of Social Work services commensurate with level of experience in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, existing evidence-based practice and established clinical protocols.

Maintain appropriate documentation and patient records in line with Departmental, Unit and Health Service procedures, and contribute to the maintenance of accurate and timely information systems.

Participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve patient/client care, including the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the work setting.
