ABOUT THE ROLE As the Executive General Manager – Platforms, you will provide executive leadership for Infocus’ proprietary end-to-end product ecosystem, inclusive of PlatformplusAMS — our advice management system and operating platform — and PlatformplusWRAP — our superannuation, pension and investment wrap. This role holds accountability for product strategy and execution, commercial performance, enterprise adoption, governance and ongoing evolution. You will translate Infocus’ Strategic Wealth Business ambition into a scalable proposition, enabling financial advice practices and dealer groups to run, grow and scale efficiently, profitably and compliantly through market‑leading operating capability and execution solutions. This is a senior enterprise leadership role, responsible for positioning Platformplus as a core growth engine — driving adviser adoption, platform flows, margin sustainability and commercial expansion, while strengthening product governance and operational resilience. You will work closely with Technology, Sales, Investments, Operations and the Responsible Entity to deliver product outcomes, improve client and adviser experience, simplify the product set and ensure reliable execution through third‑party providers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the strategy, commercial performance and evolution of the Platformplus ecosystem, ensuring it operates as a scalable growth engine for Infocus
- Define and own the product roadmap, aligning multiple user group needs, market opportunity, regulatory requirements and enterprise priorities
- Hold executive accountability for the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, including governance, documentation, change management and successful launches
- Provide senior oversight of platform operations, third‑party providers and Responsible Entity governance, ensuring stability, resilience and service quality
- Own commercial outcomes including product pricing, user adoption and utilisation, cost to serve and margin sustainability. Partner with Sales and Distribution to drive net flows, FUM growth and platform acquisition, and the Technology and Development team to execute the product development roadmap
- Maintain strong risk, compliance and regulatory governance, with clear reporting to Executive, Risk Committees and the Board
- Act as a senior enterprise leader, embedding Platformplus into broader strategy, M&A; activity and external partnerships
- Build and lead a high‑performing product team, including oversight of Product Owners, setting clear accountability, capability and succession plans
- Champion the Platformplus value proposition to advisers, licensees and prospective clients, partnering with Sales and Distribution to support pipeline development and conversion
- Drive product‑led growth by identifying and executing opportunities to deepen adviser engagement, increase utilisation and expand the Platformplus footprint across the advice market WHAT YOU WILL BRING / EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITY
- Degree qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Senior leadership experience within wealth platforms, advice ecosystems, financial product management or financial services distribution.
- Robust product management experience across platforms, managed accounts or regulated investment structures.
- Deep understanding of MISs, investment products and platform governance.
- Proven commercial acumen with experience owning adoption, growth, margin and operating leverage outcomes.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to convey complex issues clearly and confidently.
- Strong judgement and resilience, with the ability to balance delivery pace, risk and governance requirements.
- Highly organised, outcomes‑focused and comfortable operating autonomously at enterprise level.
- Experience working collaboratively with Technology functions to translate product requirements into delivery outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to engage advisers and distribution partners, with credibility in client‑facing and market‑facing contexts.
- Led a complex platform, software or product decision through executive or board governance committees.
- Chaired a cross‑functional forum to prioritise product delivery and manage delivery trade‑offs.
- Managed a senior escalation with a third‑party provider, driving resolution and service improvement.
- Partnered with Technology, Operations and Distribution to align on product priorities and delivery sequencing.
- Strengthened governance or documentation to reduce risk while maintaining momentum.
- Reviewed adviser adoption, utilisation trends and cost‑to‑serve insights with Sales and reset product priorities accordingly.
- Sponsored enterprise readiness for a material platform or product change.
- Joined an adviser meeting or licensee engagement to present the Platformplus roadmap and gather feedback.
