Trainee Laboratory Technician Sunshine Coast Regional

Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia Job Description Entry‑Level Lab Technician – Construction Materials Testing team, WSP What you’ll do
- Carry out routine field and lab testing on soil, aggregate, rock, and other materials to meet National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) standards
- Work with specialist equipment such as nuclear densometers, compaction tools, and more
- Set up, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment
- Help with the receiving, logging, storing, and disposal of samples
- Support project deadlines and communicate with internal clients along the way Qualifications
- Team player with initiative, enthusiasm and flexibility
- Valuable communication skills and able to follow instructions
- Immediate start
- Construction Induction (white card)
- Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or willingness to undertake
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Basic mathematical skills to at least year 10 level
- Commitment to working safely
- All candidates must complete a pre‑employment medical examination and Drug & Alcohol test successfully prior to commencement. Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing will apply as a requirement of the sites you work on. Advantages
