Administration Officer – Maternity Outpatients Department The Administration Officer provides a high level of confidential administrative support for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. This position is a prime point of contact for internal communication on a daily basis and externally with various departments and agencies. The role operates with a high degree of teamwork, performing departmental duties while maintaining open channels of communication with other services. The position will rotate through various internal roles within the Outpatients Departments, including reception, booking of follow‑up appointments, Medicare billing, appointment confirmation, inputting high‑volume data, managing internal waiting lists, and assisting with outpatient clinic schedules. - Exercise judgement when necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.
- Effectively communicate with customers and demonstrate understanding, empathy, patience and a positive service focus.
- Provide high‑quality confidential administrative support to the team.
- Act as a primary point of contact for all incoming and outgoing communication.
