Full Time Position: DOG HANDLER OR TRAINER

Dog Salon is a boutique pet grooming and care business, offering professional grooming services for dogs and cats. The salon provides bathing, grooming, hair trimming, nail clipping, and other personalised care services delivered by experienced groomers in a safe and comfortable setting. In addition to grooming, Dog Salon also offers doggy daycare, home-style boarding, and training services, with a strong focus on animal wellbeing, quality care, and customer convenience.

We are looking for Dog Handler or Trainer who can work within a dynamic and high performing environment.
- Maintain clean, safe and comfortable living, play and training areas for dogs by following hygiene, safety and care standards.
- Feed, water and monitor dogs according to their individual needs, observing their health and promptly reporting any concerns to supervisors or veterinarians.
- Handle and supervise dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments safely during daily activities, playtime and rest periods.
- Provide daily exercise, enrichment and structured activities to support dogs’ physical fitness, mental stimulation and overall wellbeing.
- Train dogs using positive reinforcement techniques to follow basic and advanced commands, addressing behavioural issues such as anxiety, aggression or leash reactivity.
- Support grooming and salon operations by calmly managing dogs during grooming sessions, helping them remain relaxed and cooperative.
- Accurately record and communicate observations on dogs’ behaviour, training progress and health, and provide basic guidance to pet owners on maintaining good behaviour at home. :

- Proven experience (at least 1 year) handling and training dogs in a professional setting
- Strong understanding of positive reinforcement and other humane training techniques.
- A genuine passion for dogs and their well-being.

Pay: $76,515.00
- $85,000.00 per year
