We are currently recruiting for an **Ocean Freight Import Customer Operations Supervisor** to join our Ocean Freight Team! This role will be based at our **Sydney Station**, reporting to the **Ocean Freight Import Operations Manager.**

**Overall Role Purpose**
As an OFRI Customer Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Participate in design and ensure implementation of Operations plans and processes to support the location and ensure efficient and timely pick-up and delivery handling of customer materials and shipments
- Participating in design and ensure implementation of billing strategy to achieve accuracy and effective delivery of billing information to customers
- Optimize process efficiencies and personnel synergies across customer operations, billing and program management to improve file ownership (i.e. one file, one operator concept)
- Ensure that all stakeholder enquiries are responded promptly and professionally
- Serves as escalation point for OFRI Operations Specialists, Customers, overseas offices and external other parties
- Monitors Station KPI Metrics
- Monitors IMPO staff tasks to ensure role is fulfilled.
- Monitors auto costing / rating / profit and loss files / rates
**Accountabilities**
**Customer & Other Stakeholders**
- Builds rapport and trust with customers by being informed about customer’s business and the market
- Assesses the type and size of customer needs
- Recommends solutions based on customer needs by using industry knowledge
- Closes business connecting a customer need with a DHL solution and the value it may create for the customer
**Skills / Qualifications**
- Minimum 3 years’ previous experience in Shipping/International freight forwarding industry in airfreight and/or ocean-freight operational roles (advantageous)
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in related field including at least 1-year supervisory experience
- OFRI knowledge and experience
- CargoWise system experience required
- Sound knowledge of Freight Forwarding and Logistics in general
- High degree of reliability
- Be a team player with a positive can-do attitude
- Be results driven and be able to demonstrate solid communication and administration skills
- Possess a high degree of attention to detail and a professional work ethic.
