Chef (Hillsdale)

Macchina Espresso is looking for an experienced chef to join our team at our new store Hillsdale. These rolls are an exciting opportunity to be key part of our vibrant cafe and contribute to the overall success of our business. Chef responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality, creative dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Maintain excellent standard of food presentation and portion control
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and optimise kitchen operation
- Work closely with Restaurant Managers to monitor feedback on popularity of all dishes
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist with inventory management and stock control
- Provide exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive team culture
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment ensuring compliance with all food safety legislation and food handling policies and procedures
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the kitchen What we're looking for
- Significant relevant experience in a reputable hospitality establishment (1 year minimum)
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavor profiles and current food trends
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to handle a quick-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards
