Corrections Victoria is responsible for the direction, management and operation of Victoria's prison system and Post Sentence Scheme. As a service agency within the Department of Justice & Community Safety (DJCS), Corrections Victoria develops and implements policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
Reporting to the Human Resources Supervisor, the Human Resources Officer is responsible for supporting the effective delivery of a range of human resource functions, with the primary focus to assist with recruitment duties and reporting for the facility

**About Us**: The department of Justice and Community Safety comprises of eight regions, through which compliance, enforcement and regulatory services are provided to the Victorian community.
The Loddon Mallee Region provides services for three prisons, two within the Loddon Prison and Middleton precinct which is comprised of a medium risk facility (Loddon) and a restricted minimum facility (Middleton) and Tarrengower Prison, which is a women's minimum risk facility located at Maldon. They also provide support through Justice Service Centres in Bendigo, Swan Hill, Echuca and Mildura and at outreach locations across the region, including Castlemaine, Maryborough, Kerang, Robinvale, Kyneton and Ouyen.
**About the Role**: The Human Resources Officer provides a range of HR administration support to Loddon Region Prisons. Reporting to the Human Resources Supervisor, you will be part of a small team and will be responsible for a wide variety of functions including resolving internal stakeholder queries, preparing reports and assisting with recruitment activities, as well as other general computer related duties.
Some of your duties will include:
- Assist with and participate in recruitment activity, including interviewing and selection and assessment of staff in relation to the recruitment process.
- Provide high quality services and perform all administrative functions pertaining to human resources.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all staffing matters, including staff entitlements, overtime, and penalty rates, shift and other allowances.
- Support the HR Supervisor with the development of human resource procedures and systems to meet business need whilst ensuring consistency across the region.
- Under direction, prepare human resource related documentation and correspondence in accordance with approved templates and guidelines.
- Collate statistical information, analyse, and draft straightforward reports.
**About You**: We are just looking for people with the right attitude. No experience is required as all training is provided upon commencement though data entry and recruitment or HR experience is preferable.
