Permanent Part-Time Chef (Multiple positions) Our kitchen is growing, and we're on the lookout for passionate, energetic and team-driven chefs to join our Venue, Pastry Kitchen and Oval Hotel brigades and help create high-quality meals in a world-class venue! If you love a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering great food, this is your opportunity! This role is offered on a permanent, part-time basis with a minimum engagement of 15 hours per week. - What you'll be doing
- Deliver standout food across everything from casual bites to premium menus, buffets and large-scale banquets (no two days are the same here!).
- Bulk food prep (be prepared to chop, cut, peel and wash!).
- Run your own section, ensuring a smooth service delivery, as well as assisting with other sections as required.
- Following all systems and processes relevant to the delivery of food services in the Production and Banquet kitchen facilities.
- Champion food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards, helping us deliver the iconic Adelaide Oval experience with confidence. Pastry Chef

- Create show-stopping sweets with high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods that wow guests on game days, at functions, and in premium dining experiences—every plate a crowd favourite.
- Get amongst the action with the bulk prep that powers game days—chopping, slicing, peeling and getting your hands dirty behind the scenes.
- Run your station like a legend during service, while jumping in to support your teammates when the heat’s on.
- Collaborate with a passionate kitchen brigade to deliver seamless service across Adelaide Oval’s iconic events.
- Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards—because world-class venues demand it. Oval Hotel Chef
- what your day-to-day will look like
- Deliver food to a world-class standard across Bespoke Wine Bar & Kitchen and the hotel's 24-hour room service.
- Preparing menus that range from casual to fine dining, including buffets, banquets and event catering.
- Assisting with stock control, food safety and efficient kitchen operations.
- Supporting the development and roll-out of new and innovating menus
- Working collaboratively within a large, skilled brigade during hotel service and major events. What you'll bring
- At least 2 years of experience as a qualified Chef.
- Great working knowledge of the Food & Beverage industry (experience in convention, entertainment, five-star or casino environment will be an advantage).
- Experience working in large teams with bulk catering production/operations.
- Experience in working in areas such as a la carte and fine dining.
- Ability to work in large, busy and fast-paced banqueting or production kitchens.
