We pride ourselves on offering high-quality food and beverages in a welcoming atmosphere. As we expand, we are looking for a Chef (Pastry & Light Meals) to join our team. Whether you are an experienced Chef or someone passionate about food and eager to learn, we welcome you - no prior experience is required, and full training will be provided!
The Role
As a Chef (Pastry & Light Meals), you will play a key role in our kitchen, assisting in both pastry preparation and basic meal preparation. Your main responsibilities will include:
· Preparing and baking cakes, pastries, and other desserts.
· Cooking and plating light meals such as pasta and noodle dishes.
· Maintaining consistency in food quality, presentation, and taste.
· Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with Australian regulations.
· Managing ingredient sourcing, storage, and stock control.
· Working collaboratively with management to enhance menu offerings and overall kitchen efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
· Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
· Basic knowledge of pastry techniques and general cooking methods.
· Understanding of light meal preparation.
· Passion for food and a willingness to learn.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
· Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (training provided if needed).
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong teamwork and communication skills.
· Flexibility to work on weekends, early mornings, and evenings as required.
