As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Telecommunication Technician to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment, systems, and cabling
- Perform fault finding, testing, and diagnostics on telecommunications networks
- Work with fibre optic and copper cabling systems for installation and maintenance
- Configure and maintain communication equipment and network infrastructure
- Interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and network plans
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with industry standards and regulations
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities
- Operate tools, testing equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate service records and prepare technical reports where required
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects within deadlines
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and company policies at all times Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Telecommunications or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in the telecommunications industry
- Experience working with fibre optic and copper network systems
- Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, installation, and maintenance practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical plans and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- White Card (Construction Induction Card) – preferred
- Valid driver’s licence
