Position Information Full‑time, fixed‑term position up to 12 months from commencement, located in Bendigo. Classification: Level A – base salary from $84,205 plus 17% superannuation. Minimum step 6 of Level A for a PhD holder. About the Position The project focuses on developing thermal insulation panels from recycled photovoltaic (PV) waste. The aim is to develop a commercially viable pathway for high‑value electronic waste recycling. The successful candidate will work closely with an international team from La Trobe University, the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, and the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, India. Qualifications
- Conferred PhD in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field
- Experience in finite element analysis (Abaqus or similar software)
- Background in structural analysis and recycled construction materials
- Experience in experimental testing and material characterisation
- Proven ability to publish in high‑quality peer‑reviewed Q1 journals (at least five journal articles during or after the PhD)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in an international research environment
- Experience in following safety procedures in a civil engineering laboratory and maintaining safe laboratory conditions Eligibility International/overseas applicants must hold or obtain a valid working Australian visa and can relocate to Bendigo at their own expense.
