Responsibilities Duties include but not limited to:
- Manage your time and resources to ensure the pick operation meets targets
- Ensure you are compliant with OHS
- Sound knowledge and experience with Dispatch operations and/ or warehousing
- Experience in using Forklift for placing goods in racks
- Leading daily operations, including order picking, packing, dispatching and container unpack/packs.
- Facilitating inbound/outbound of local & interstate freight/products overlooking the overall Victoria warehouse Operations. Coordinate with the team and internal departments to meet delivery requirements and expectations.
- Majority of stock is non DG, however, for the small percentage the Dangerous Goods knowledge is a requirement
- Driving operational change that will continuously improve service levels to customers on delivery of freight
- Manage the daily operational needs of our customers who are serviced in VIC.
- Receiving orders and bookings, and planning and implementing transportation schedules with Sampson Express and suppliers
- Ensuring goods are stored and transported in conditions that will maintain their quality and safe to do so.
- Maintaining business records and preparing operational statements and reports
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations along with Chain of Responsibility (CoR)
- Develop KPIs and daily strategies with team members and monitor individual performance.
- Managing strategic business partnerships with suppliers and work collaboratively on DIFOT improvements.
- Managing the costs for carriage and profitability
- Optimise storage and handling costs through strategic cost management
- Effectively Managing and minimising consumable costs
- Implementing strategies to enhance cost efficiency while maintaining operational excellence
- Collaborating with other state managers
- Up to date with OHS knowledge
- VIC Drivers Licence and Own Vehicle to drive to and from work
- Able to work in a quick pace environment with safety focus
- Physically fit to be able to endure the manual lifting tasks Your Schedule Working hours: 8-hour shifts, availability between 6am to 6pm Qualifications
- Logistics Industry experience 1.5+ years
