About the Child Care Centre About the role As an Early Childhood Educator, you will support the team/room educators to develop a fun, educational and engaging program for our children. You’ll also support the Centre in evaluating the quality of the program to ensure it is aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and the National Quality Framework (NQF). A regular day will see you:
- Actively support every child to participate in the program and ensure that it promotes children’s agency, choices and influence.
- Develop and maintain respectful, supportive, collaborative and responsive relationships with children and their families.
- Deliver effective and valuable documentation of children’s learning in accordance with the Centre philosophy and the Learning Outcomes (EYLF and VEYLDF).
- Ensure all practices are in accordance with the NQS and reflect the philosophy, policies and procedures of the service.
- Provide effective supervision in a safe and secure environmentwhere childrenareable tolearn,develop,exploreand discover their capabilities. - Diploma of Early Childhood Education
- Experience in planning, implementing, assessing and reviewing a high quality and diverse educational program based on appropriate curriculum frameworks and with reference to the NQS,
- A demonstrated awareness of social, economic and cultural diversity and its impact on children and their families.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
- A passion for working with children and building respectful, positive and trusted relationships with families.
