Full-time (Minimum 38 hours per week) Position Location: Melbourne, VIC Employment duration: 3 years (ongoing) Salary range: $85,000 to $95,000 per annum plus superannuation About the Business TOT Transport is an Australian transport and logistics company specialising in warehousing, freight distribution, and supply chain solutions across Australia. Our Victorian operations are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Logistics and Distribution Manager to oversee and coordinate our Melbourne-based logistics and distribution activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing day‑to‑day warehouse, transport, and distribution operations in Melbourne while coordinating closely with the Sydney head office to ensure productive national supply chain operations and service delivery. Tasks Include
- Establish, implement and oversee TOT Transport’s procurement, warehousing and freight distribution strategies, policies and operational plans for the Melbourne branch, ensuring alignment with national supply chain objectives set by the head office
- Develop and action stock management plans to maintain required inventory levels across TOT Transport’s Melbourne warehouse facilities at minimum cost, balancing service commitments with cost efficiency targets
- Conduct supplier negotiations and manage vendor agreements to secure competitive pricing, quality standards and delivery schedules that support TOT Transport’s freight and warehousing service commitments
- Continuously assess and refine warehousing and inventory management systems to meet TOT Transport’s supply requirements, control stock levels and minimise shrinkage or discrepancies across the Victorian distribution network
- Administer and maintain accurate recording systems to track all inbound and outbound goods movements, freight consignments and finished product dispatches, and initiate timely replenishment and restocking to sustain uninterrupted operations
- Collaborate with internal departments and TOT Transport clients to clarify outbound freight requirements, coordinate delivery priorities and arrange appropriate forwarding transport solutions across Victoria and interstate
- Oversee the accurate recording and reconciliation of all purchasing, storage and distribution transactions within TOT Transport’s logistics management systems, ensuring data integrity for reporting and compliance purposes
- Lead, allocate and evaluate the performance of warehouse and logistics staff within the Melbourne operations team, fostering a productive and safety-conscious work environment in line with TOT Transport’s standards
- Ensure the consistent and reliable delivery of TOT Transport’s warehousing, freight and supply chain products and services to meet agreed client requirements, service level agreements and delivery timeframes Qualifications, experience and other requirements
- A relevant AQF Bachelor degree or higher qualification in supply chain, management, logistics, business, or a related field; OR
- Bachelor degree in a non‑closely related field supported by a minimum of three (3) years of relevant full‑time work experience in logistics, warehousing, transport or supply chain operations in a managerial capacity.
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant full‑time experience in a Logistics Manager role within logistics, warehousing, transport or supply chain operations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable operational insights.
- Experience using data analysis tools, logistics management software, and reporting platforms to support informed decision‑making.
- Demonstrated ability to develop operational reports, performance dashboards, and KPI frameworks.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations effectively to management and external parties.
- Sound understanding of supply chain operations, transport logistics, and process optimisation techniques.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
