Electrical Team Lead, Fmcg Plant Maintenance (Melbourne)

Electrical Team Leader – DS JBS Australia's Southern Division, headquartered in Melbourne, is the world's largest multi‐species processing facility for beef, sheep, and goats. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Team Leader to join our Brooklyn Plant. You will report to the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor and support the day‐to‐day electrical activities on shift. Key Responsibilities: Leading and supporting a small team of electricians on shift, providing technical guidance and coordination of daily activities Performing hands‐on electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across plant equipment Diagnosing faults across PLCs, drives, motors, instrumentation, and automation systems Supporting the execution of planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance tasks Assisting with commissioning, installation, and modification of electrical equipment Ensuring adherence to safety standards, OH&S; requirements, LOTO procedures, and site policies Working closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to minimise downtime Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and performance Maintaining accurate maintenance records within CMMS (SAP) What You Will Bring to the Table: Electrical trade qualification with strong industrial maintenance experience Proven experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment (food industry highly regarded) Robust troubleshooting capability across PLCs (Allen Bradley/Siemens), VSDs, and control systems Demonstrated ability to lead or step up into a leadership role within a trades environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support and guide a team Solid understanding of maintenance planning and execution Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement Proactive attitude with strong problem‐solving and organisational skills What We Offer: Competitive salary and shift allowances Career progression opportunities into supervisory roles Ongoing training and development Stable, long‐term employment with a global industry leader Health insurance discounts and employee benefits On‐site parking and canteen facilities Are you ready to take the next step in your electrical career and build your leadership capability with one of the world's leading food manufacturing companies? #J-*****-Ljbffr Apply on Kit Job: kitjobau.com/job/3qqzud
