- Leading the project management and delivery of Melbourne Vixens and Vixens Academy pre-season and in season games and events, including the Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) game day experience for fans and members.
- Driving the planning and execution of all events and activations including fan days, season launch, open training sessions, trophy tours and the Sharelle McMahon Medal. Community Engagement
- Partnering with our Community and Stakeholder Relations teams to develop and deliver community programs and events that connect grassroots netball to Netball Victoria and the Vixens brand.
- Ensuring all events are welcoming, inclusive and aligned with best practice. Operations and Stakeholder Management
- Overseeing all operational requirements
- hospitality, catering, signage, logistics and administration for game day and events.
- Managing productive relationships with venues, broadcasters, sports presentation and other suppliers, Netball Australia, coaches and athletes.
- Implementing sound financial procedures and managing the events budget and expenditure.
- Tracking, analysing, and reporting on content key metrics and data to support Netball Victoria’s strategic plan. Leadership and Culture
- Recruiting, guiding and supporting staff, casuals and volunteers.
- Embedding a high performance culture across the events and operations function.
- Representing the Netball Victoria and Melbourne Vixens with professionalism in all settings.
- Supporting other duties as required by the role and Netball Victoria. What you will bring
- Significant experience (7+ years) in events management ideally within sport or entertainment.
- Proven leadership experience (3+ years) with the ability to motivate and guide others.
- Tertiary qualification and/or professional experience in Event Management, Sports Management or related fields.
- Strong understanding of event management and operations principles and industry trends.
- Exceptional organisation skills and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- A passion for sport and a clear understanding of sporting environments from grassroots to elite level.
- Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain). What we offer
