Job Description
About the Role
As a Disability Program Assistant Volunteer, you will support DPV Health’s Centre-Based Disability Program in the Whittlesea LGA. This role involves assisting disability instructors in delivering engaging social and skill-building activities, both onsite and in the community. You will help participants achieve their NDIS goals while fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Working as part of a dedicated team, you will:
- Assist staff in setting up and packing up program activities.
- Support instructors in delivering a range of activities, including arts & crafts, music, movement, sports, beauty and hydrotherapy.
- Encourage and assist participants in engaging with activities that promote skill development and social interaction.
- Provide mobility support as required, ensuring participant safety.
- Maintain respectful communication with participants and staff to enhance engagement and connection.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A creative and enthusiastic approach to supporting people with disabilities.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- A patient, respectful, and inclusive attitude.
- Skills in recreational activities such as art, music, gardening, or cooking (highly valued but not essential).
- Availability for 2-3 hrs weekly (9:30AM
- 12:30PM), flexible

- A valid Working with Children Check and NDIS Check are required.
