Logistics Specialist - Warehouse Operations (Melbourne)

**Hours**:38 Hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend overtime**

**The Opportunity**

The Logistics Specialist
- Warehouse Operations, supports business operations by ensuring the efficient and effective handling of incoming and outgoing deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service.

**Key Role Accountabilities**
- Manage the receipt, booking, and dispatch of cargo, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely data entry.
- Handle freight, identifying it as "Known Cargo" or "Unknown Cargo," and perform vehicle loading/unloading tasks.
- Address operational staff and customer queries promptly and professionally.
- Maintain security protocols, including driver ID checks and monitoring warehouse access.
- Keep the warehouse organized and clean, adhering to health and safety policies.
- Stay informed on transport laws and collaborate with Operations for process improvements. Conduct local deliveries and collections as required.

**Your Experience**
- Proven experience in logistics or warehouse operations, ideally gained in the aviation / aerospace industry
- Customer-focused with a friendly and helpful attitude
- Preferably forklift trained, with evidence of licence certification
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, working with bespoke stock inventory systems
- Flexible and agile
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills
