Breakfast Demi Chef – Cleo (Melbourne)

Job Description We are looking for our next breakfast superstar to join the kitchen team in our rooftop restaurant and bar, Cleo. Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and presenting high-quality breakfast dishes to Cleo’s standards.
- Supporting senior chefs with breakfast prep, mise en place, and smooth service execution.
- Assisting in the development and refinement of breakfast and brunch menu items.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment during early and peak breakfast service.
- Ensuring consistency, quality, and attention to detail across all breakfast and brunch plates.
- Bringing creativity and initiative while staying aligned with Cleo’s style and standards.
- Supporting junior kitchen staff and contributing to a positive, efficient team culture. Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef in a hotel or high-volume breakfast/brunch restaurant.
- Robust attention to detail and a consistent commitment to high culinary standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in early shifts and high-pressure breakfast service periods.
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays. Benefits
