Job Advertisement: Casual News Video Editor About the Role Network Ten is seeking a highly skilled and fast-working News Video Editor to join our dynamic Media Services department on-site in South Yarra on a casual basis. Your primary focus will be cutting and assembling compelling, high-quality stories for our flagship 5pm News bulletins. You will collaborate closely with journalists, producers, and the wider newsroom to ensure stories go to air on time and to high editorial and technical standards. Key Responsibilities
- Edit and assemble daily news packages for the 5pm News bulletins.
- Work efficiently within tight daily broadcast deadlines.
- Collaborate with news producers and reporters to shape narratives and match visuals to scripts.
- Manage media ingest, organization, and export workflows within the Media Services department.
- Ensure all video and audio content meets Network Ten’s broadcasting standards. Essential Skills & Experience
- AVID Media Composer: Advanced, hands-on proficiency is essential.
- Media Central Cloud UX (MCCUX): Experience would be beneficial.
- News Editing Experience: Proven prior experience editing in a high-pressure, daily broadcast news setting.
- Speed and Accuracy: The ability to make quick editorial decisions and troubleshoot on the fly while under deadline pressure.
