With us, you can Lead multidisciplinary design management for complex data centre programs and help Australia scale secure, effective and sustainable digital infrastructure. You will connect strategy to delivery, align stakeholders around clear technical outcomes, and drive continuous improvement in how we design and deliver mission critical facilities. The opportunity You will be the trusted technical coordination point for MEP disciplines and architects, external consultants and client teams from concept through commissioning and handover. You will work closely with our Project Manager, Project Director and SME’s to provide technical governance to our Data Center Projects. What you’ll do
- Lead teams in the design of data centre critical infrastructure and facilitate regular design forums with internal engineering resources, client stakeholders and external consultants to resolve issues, meet milestones and actively mitigate risk.
- Lead Client design and optioneering workshops with SME’s to ensure that we present to the client a coordinated and holistic solutions WSP.
- Coordinate resources across disciplines and influence design changes based on evolving customer or site needs, maintaining robust document control and change management records.
- Work with the PM to ensure technical QA is undertaken by Discipline Leads.
- Review and approve design concepts, prototypes, and final deliverables.
- Provide feedback to designers to maintain high-quality standards.
- Define and maintain the design language and design guidelines.
- Ensure consistency across all design outputs. What you’ll bring
- Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services or related) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in an engineering consultancy delivering large, complex building services projects, ideally mission critical or data centres.
- Proven design management experience and capability within the data centre developments, including Project Execution Plans, master programs and trackers, change and risk controls, cost and quality KPIs and commercial stewardship of sub consultant scopes.
- Stakeholder engagement skills that build trust across clients, contractors, authorities and vendors, supported by crisp communication and documentation.
- Working knowledge of Australian Codes and Standards, for example NCC and AS/NZS, and desirable exposure to BIM coordination tools such as Revit and Navisworks. Apply on Kit Job: kitjobau.com/job/3r3oee
