About this role As an Associate or Senior Associate in our Melbourne Forensic Accounting practice, you will have the opportunity to develop your career on your own terms as part of a high-performing, motivated team. You will apply your experience and expertise across a broad range of forensic engagements, including contentious valuations, commercial loss and damage claims, insurance events, accounting reviews and investigations. This role within our Melbourne team is for a motivated individual primarily undertaking Dispute Advisory assignments. Some of the exciting projects this team has recently worked on include:
- Assessment of economic loss in large insurance litigation claims
- Complex valuations for family law and estate disputes
- Acting as a Court appointed Independent Expert in the Supreme Court of Victoria
- Review of transactions across several financial years to identify misreporting of transactions and alleged fraud Key responsibilities
- Advise on a broad range of forensic engagements, including business valuations, commercial loss and damage claims, insurance events and accounting reviews and investigations
- Build and maintain beneficial stakeholder relationships, including client liaison and the provision of trusted expert advice
- Detailed review and analysis of the financial performance of businesses
- Research and analysis of a variety of business, industry and economic data and information
- Participate in business development and practice management activities, as well as provide coaching, mentoring and training opportunities to other team members Skills and experience
- CA/CPA/CFA qualified or currently working towards your qualification
- Forensic accounting experience is preferred, but not essential
- Professional services experience is essential
- Strong analytical skills and mindset, complemented by lateral and critical thinking capability
- Conscientious with a strong degree of accuracy and keen eye for detail
