Role Overview We're growing and seeking an experienced Linux Developer to join our Embedded & Multimedia team in a full‑time, permanent role based in Melbourne (hybrid: 3 days in office). You will develop software for IoT devices, delivering secure, end‑to‑end video solutions from device to cloud, with a strong focus on evidence integrity for law‑enforcement use. Responsibilities & Profile You enjoy building Linux‑based device software and integrating it into secure, large‑scale systems. You will develop and maintain C/C++ (plus Go/Rust) applications on embedded Linux, focusing on device agents, telemetry, secure data handling and compliance. The role covers the full lifecycle—from design to deployment—working closely with backend and QA teams. You will also handle device provisioning, identity, telemetry and reliable data transfer across intermittent networks. Experience with video or AI is helpful but not essential; strong Linux systems and secure device knowledge are key. Essential Skills
- Strong C/C++ and familiarity with Go/Rust
- Embedded Linux development experience
- Multithreading and long‑running services
