National Distribution & Warehouse Manager (Melbourne)

National Distribution & Warehouse Manager We are a rapidly growing Australian supplier across the water filtration, bathroomware, lighting, storage and household categories, supplying major retail and marketplace customers throughout Australia and New Zealand. Our brands are distributed through leading retailers and online channels including Bunnings, Mitre 10, Woolworths, Amazon and other national retail partners. As part of our continued expansion, we are consolidating operations into a new National Head Office and Distribution Centre in the Dandenong South area. We are seeking an experienced National Distribution & Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse operations, logistics coordination and inventory movement across our Australian and New Zealand operations. This is a hands‑on leadership role with genuine opportunity to influence systems, processes and operational direction as the business continues to grow. Lead the next phase of our national operations growth. About the Role Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee the day‑to‑day operation of our National Distribution Centre while coordinating inventory flow, freight movements and operational logistics across multiple channels and locations. You will play a key role in the transition into our new Melbourne facility, with support and operational handover provided by our existing Warehouse Manager during the transition period. Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, replenishment, picking and dispatch
- Drive stock accuracy, inventory integrity and warehouse efficiency
- Lead, mentor and develop warehouse team members
- Build and maintain a positive, high-performance warehouse culture
- Maintain DIFOT and operational service standards
- Coordinate inbound container arrivals from overseas manufacturing partners
- Work closely with freight forwarders and transport providers regarding inbound and outbound logistics
- Coordinate domestic freight movements and national distribution requirements
- Oversee inventory transfers and replenishment planning between Australia and New Zealand operations
- Coordinate and manage Stefani’s New Zealand 3PL relationship and inventory performance
- Work closely with internal departments including sales, sourcing, customer service and leadership teams
- Identify and implement operational improvements and efficiencies
- Assist with warehouse layout planning and workflow optimisation
- Maintain warehouse safety and compliance standards
- Assist in maintaining warehouse compliance procedures including SDS documentation, storage segregation and Dangerous Goods handling requirements where applicable About You You are an experienced warehouse and distribution leader who thrives in fast-moving retail supply environments and enjoys balancing people, process and operational coordination.
- 5+ years experience in warehouse or distribution leadership
- Experience within retail, FMCG, hardware or consumer goods environments
- Experience servicing major retail or marketplace customers
- Strong inventory management and operational coordination skills
- Experience working with freight providers and transport coordination
- Robust leadership and team development capability
- A practical, hands‑on management approach
- Strong problem‑solving and organisational skills
- Experience working with large retailers such as Bunnings, Woolworths, Spotlight, Mitre 10 or similar highly regarded
- Exposure to Dangerous Goods storage, transport or warehouse compliance procedures highly regarded Systems Experience Experience using ERP and warehouse management systems including:
- Vision ERP/WMS or similar platforms
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- RF scanning environments
- Inventory and stock management systems
- Experience with Vision ERP/WMS, SAP, NetSuite, Pronto, Microlistics or similar systems highly regarded What we offer
