Solutions Architect - .NET CMS experience (Melbourne)
Description
We are looking for someone with prior Solutions Architect experience or a Senior Developer with strong consultative skills who is on the pathway to becoming a Solutions Architect. Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and consultation skills, be comfortable leading large, complex Discovery and Build projects, and ideally already have some experience with Optimizely, Sitecore, or Xperience by Kentico. The role is responsible for the technical integrity and strategic alignment of digital solutions across the project lifecycle. This role requires a balance of high-level architectural design and detailed business analysis to ensure that technical delivery meets specific client objectives and provides long-term value. As the primary technical lead, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, providing the necessary oversight to ensure that complex systems remain scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals. The role is open to candidates based in either Indonesia or Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane. This is a full time permanent position. Key Responsibilities
- Design innovative, future-proof solutions using both proven and new architectures to address complex client challenges
- Analyse new platforms and provide formal recommendations for their application in novel business scenarios
- Craft clear, tailored architecture documentation and artifacts for client stakeholders.
- Ensure all proposed solutions effectively address core client needs and are engineered to scale for future growth
- Lead technical conversations, without being the hands‑on implementer, to create and refine user stories and product backlogs
- Conduct discovery, analysis, and documentation of business requirements while providing strategic guidance to the client
- Lead CMS and DXP configuration and development, including architectural decisions and content modelling across traditional or headless environments
- Provide an accurate estimation of work items for new projects and developments on the existing platform
- Assist the sales team in preparing for pitches by contributing to technical sections of proposals and ensuring that proposed solutions are both feasible and aligned with client expectations.
- Take technical ownership of projects, acting as the primary lead for technical delivery while collaborating with producers on budget and schedule
- Maintain current certification in a platform related to the company’s primary workload What we are looking for
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise‑scale web applications and APIs using modern development frameworks
- Deep knowledge of Cloud Ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with a focus on serverless, microservices, and event‑driven architectures
- Demonstrate deep proficiency in CMS and Digital Experience Platform (DXP) architecture, with either direct experience or the ability to rapidly master enterprise ecosystems such as Optimizely or Kentico Xperience across traditional and headless environments.
- Expertise in content modelling, including the design of logical schemas, taxonomies, and governance structures that align with technical constraints
- Proven background in business analysis, with the ability to lead discovery sessions, elicit requirements, and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
- Advanced skills in creating architectural artifacts, such as sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams, and logical models, that serve both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience in a consulting or client‑facing environment, with a focus on delivering high‑value digital transformation projects.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to produce high‑quality written documentation and present complex concepts to executive audiences.
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
