Social Media Content Designer (Melbourne)

We’re seeking a hands‑on Social Media Content Designer to join a leading Australian industry super fund on a part‑time, 3‑month contract supporting a well‑established and highly collaborative in‑house social media team. The environment is highly reactive, despite forward planning, so the role requires someone comfortable juggling priorities and adapting quickly. You’ll collaborate closely with Senior Managers, two full‑time social media team members, internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and an external social media agency. While the role sits within a regulated industry with established approval processes, the team is primarily focused on creative quality, clarity, and execution. Industry experience is helpful but not essential – strong creative capability is far more important. Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality, engaging social media content across formats including:
- Video
- Animation / motion graphics
- Social assets
- Photography and videography
- Design and deliver content using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro or similar)
- Work closely with SMEs to translate information into transparent, compliant social content
- Manage content review and approval workflows within established governance frameworks
- Operate as a dedicated, reliable member of the in‑house team for the duration of the contract About You
- Strong hands‑on experience producing social content in a professional environment (in‑house or agency)
- Proven capability across video, motion, and integrated digital assets
- Confident using Adobe Creative Suite (not Canva‑only)
- Experience working with SMEs and navigating feedback and approvals
- Comfortable working in fast‑moving, reactive environments
- Reliable, collaborative, and able to commit focused time to one team (rather than juggling multiple clients)
