About the Role We are looking for a hardworking, innovative, and collaborative Financials Functional Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the successful implementation of the Workday Financials solution with customers through product and implementation expertise. Responsibilities
- Work closely with the customer's project team to design, configure and deploy their functional requirements.
- Become an expert in the Workday Financial Management product suite.
- Understand client business requirements, configure the Workday solution, demonstrate the configurations through the development of prototype systems, and assist the client in testing the Workday solution.
- Work with the client to assist in converting legacy data into Workday.
- Assist the integration consulting team to configure and test integrations between Workday and third‑party or custom solutions.
- Apply Workday’s Implementation Methodology across all engagements.
- Mentor new consultants.
- Ensure the client adopts Workday best practices.
- Ensure the client is referenceable once the solution is in production.
- Maintain product expertise and Workday Certification(s) in line with the Workday roadmap.
- Provide the Engagement Manager with status reports and keep them apprised of overall project status. Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience implementing financial or expense management ERP solutions (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, NetSuite, Lawson, etc.) as either a consultant or customer.
- Previous consulting experience with a consulting or software company.
- Functional expertise in at least one of the following areas: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Procurement, Asset Management, Projects, Expense Management, Financial Reporting, or Budgeting. Other Qualifications
- Passion for customer service.
- Validated project management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
- Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self‑training.
- Experience deploying multiple projects simultaneously – a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required.
- Workday Financials expertise.
