The opportunity:

Visy Logistics Bulk, based in Laverton North, is seeking an experiencedOperations Managerto lead the Victoria Scrap Steel operation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee support staff, drivers, fleet, and equipment. You’ll bring a sharp operational mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining high customer service standards, meeting budget targets, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance across all areas. A robust financial acumen is essential, as you’ll be expected to manage budgets, analyse cost drivers, and contribute to strategic financial decisions that impact operational performance.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Lead and manage daily operations across fleet and logistics teams Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards Drive productivity and profitability through cutting-edge solutions Maintain high service levels and customer satisfaction Manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L; performance Develop and mentor team members, fostering a high-performance culture
