- Flores (New Restaurant Opening) Full-time About the Chance This is a rare chance to step into a senior culinary leadership role at one of Melbourne's most exciting newly opened hospitality venues. This role plays a key part in refining standards, leading the team and continuing to shape the culinary direction of The Angel of Malvern.

Working closely with our senior leadership team, you'll play a pivotal role in driving quality, consistency and performance across all kitchen operations. You'll bring strong leadership, creativity and operational expertise, fostering a high-performance kitchen culture built on respect, accountability and excellence. What You'll Do

- Lead and oversee day-to-day kitchen operations
- Deliver consistent, high-quality food across all services
- Refine and execute menus in line with the venue's direction
- Train, mentor and manage kitchen team performance
- Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene and Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards
- Manage stock control, ordering, wastage and food costs
- Oversee prep planning, service flow and kitchen organisation
- Build a positive, motivated and professional kitchen culture About You You're an experienced, hands-on kitchen leader who leads by example. You take pride in both people development and operational excellence. You'll also bring:
- 5+ years experience in skilled commercial kitchens
- Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef
- Robust leadership and communication skills
- A calm, structured approach under pressure
- A sound understanding of Australia food safety and WHS requirements
