We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker/Welder to join a well-established marine engineering company based in Altona North. This is a casual role with solid potential for ongoing, long-term work.

About the Role

This position involves both workshop and site-based work, supporting the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of heavy industrial and marine assets.

Key responsibilities include:

Fabrication and welding in line with engineering drawings

Inspection, servicing, and repair of equipment

Operating workshop machinery and tools

Working with materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium

Carrying out site work as required

Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping

Requirements

Minimum 3 years post-trade experience

Relevant trade qualification (Boilermaker/Welder)

Experience in heavy industry or marine environments

Proficiency in welding processes: GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, MMAW

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Current Working at Heights and Confined Spaces tickets (must be in date)

Manual driver’s licence

Robust attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Sound understanding of WHS requirements
