Overview
Join a well-established Commercial Analytical Testing Organisation in a permanent position located in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs . This exciting chance involves the analysis of agrichemicals, antimicrobials, and food-related residues in a NATA-accredited laboratory.
Key Objective
The Analyst is accountable for performing laboratory analysis for the Food Safety laboratory according to relevant testing methodology and quality system requirements to meet customer service requirements.
Key Accountabilities
Laboratory Workflow & Testing
Conduct testing of laboratory samples in strict accordance with documented procedures, protocols, and quality system guidelines.
Ensure all testing aligns with customer requirements.
Prioritise workload to meet turnaround times for reporting results.
Demonstrate proactive behaviour and accountability for personal actions.
Laboratory Operations & Continuous Improvement
Collaborate effectively within the team, fostering a positive and cooperative work workplace.
Participate in training for new or existing procedures and equipment; assist in training others as needed.
Support the maintenance and calibration of Food Safety equipment to reduce downtime and maximise efficiency.
Recommend improvements to methodologies, equipment, and resources.
Workplace Health & Safety
Adhere to all Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
Monitor compliance with PPE requirements among team members.
Address issues identified during workplace inspections.
Report all incidents occurring in the designated work area promptly.
Key Requirements
Tertiary Qualified in a field related to Laboratory Science or Food Technology.
Robust expertise in LCMS/MS and/or GCMS/MS instrumentation.
Proven experience in a NATA-accredited lab .
Proficiency in instrument software operation , troubleshooting , and maintenance .
